Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

CHESHIRE's county transportation unit has prepared a repor spelling out problems that will face bus operations in the count, during the next five years.

The report has now been circulated to Cheshire's distric council's new town development corporation and bus operator: for comment.

Bus subsidies could grow to unacceptable levels for thE council in five years, says the report and it goes on to examini bus services, identify possible areas of savings and suggest charges that could lead to a "best buy" from the council's pain of view.

The report looks at alternative networks and examines counts subsidies, passengers, schoolchildren and the county's majoi operator, Crosville Motor Services.

Rationalisation of services and the possiblity of using a radica approach to transport such as mini-buses are also reviewed.

The council will make a decision on the amount of suppori that should be given to bus operators and what services shoulc be revised after it has studied comments about the report.
