TLT TRUCK Services, the vehicle sales and maintenance division of Tate and Lyle has taken over the management of McIntyre Ltd, the Greenock based Vauxhall-Bedford dealership of Manbre and Garton. At the same time TLT has announced its withdrawal from the ERF franchise operated in Southampton.
Malton by-pass
WORK will start soon on the A64 Malton by-pass after news that the Department of Transport has accepted a £5.5 million tender from Dowsett Engineering Construction Ltd. The work is expected to take about two years.
Road plans
PROPOSALS for improving the A35 trunk road at Yellowham Hill between Dorchester and Puddletown in Dorset have been announced by the Department of Transport.

FREIGHTLINERS Ltd has taken delivery of a new 2Oft Tamplin Tip-Kit for the conversion of skeletal semi-trailers for the bulk discharge of ISO containers.
The Tip-Kit has been supplied complete with 6CAN Ebdro front end tipping gear and a Tamplin Lister STI electric start donkey engine power pack.
