FOLLOWING protests from hauliers in the region, Welsh Transport Minister Ieuan Wyn Jones has written to the Treasury pointing out the pressures faced by the road transport industry because of rising fuel prices.
Hauliers met Jones last month after recent protests by truckers in Wales.
In his letter to the Treasury. Jones stated the Welsh Assembly Government was concerned about the impact the increase in fuel costs was having on both the haulage industry and on transport services in Wales.
