and it shows. The interior would be acceptable by modern car standards, with an adjustable steering column, one-touch electric windows and driver's airbag. Apart from the constraints of its dimensions, the smart cab has good levels of accommodation and storage.

Although it has one of the most modern engines in the line-up, it still has room for improvement. In particular it gets a bit 'dieselly' under acceleration. It offers a quite un-buslike driving position and a good view, aided by thoughtfully placed mirrors, but on the downside they are quite vulnerable.
