PORTUGUESE RELIANCES: Orders for 12 A.E.C. Reliance chassis and 45 sets of running gear have been received from Uniao de Transportadorcs para Importac. e Comercio Limitada, the A.E.C. distributor in Portugal. The 12 chassis will be bodied by U.T.I.C., who will also build the running units into 45 monocoque vehicles designed in collaboration with Park Royal Vehicles Ltd.
GIPSIES IN THE SAND: Constructors John Brown Ltd, has ordered 88 Gipsy Mk. (f" four-wheel-drive vehicles from the Austin Motor Co. Led., for use on on oil pipeline construction contract in the Sahara.
TEN DOZEN HIMALAYANS: An order for 120 Himalayan dump trucks has been received by Scammell Lorries Ltd. from R. Cripps and Co. Ltd., of Lenton. Notts, sole concessionaires in the U.K. for the vehicle). Ten more Himalayans have been ordered in South Africa. Other recent Scammell orders include 36 semi-trailers for 13.R.S., eight vanbodied Fourtrak semitrailers, and 10 Scammell Constructors.
ROLBAS IN YORKSHIRE: Yorkshire West Riding county council has ordered three Rolba-Unirnog 200/125. rotary snow ploughs. DENNIS FIRE ENGINES POPULAR : Dennis Bros.
