THE 20th annual edition of Garcke's

" Motor Transport Year-Book and Directory" (30s.) has recently been published by Electrical Press, Ltd., Fisher Street, Southampton Row, London, W.C.1. The latest volume, which is edited by Mr. F. C. Garrett, has been extended in scope to include information relating to undertakings—local authorities, companies and individuals —engaged in commercial aviation. All the familiar sections are retained and enlarged where necessary, and the book retains the distinction of being the only comprehensive publication of its kind.

Valuable information is to be found in the statistical summary recording

the progress of the industry, whilst summaries of Governmental and other official reports are included, together with a résumé of the regulations con-. cerning goods and passenger vehicles.

The directory provides a detailed survey of road-transport undertakings, both municipal and companies, whilst the section for manufacturers includes particulars of joint stock companies engaged on work in connection with the industry.

A section is devoted to the various motor associations, and the names and addresses are given of some 5,000 directors and officials engaged in roadtransport services and motor manufacture.
