• Nottinghamshire-based independent South Notts of Gotham is tipped for sale following its first losses of .232,000 last year.
It operates 28 buses, mostly double-deckers, and shares the lucrative Clifton Estate route with Nottingham City Transport, as well as operating country services from Nottingham as far as Loughborough.
It is jointly owned by Barton Transport and the family of managing director, Arthur Dabell, and is worth at least £350,000.
