• Mr. Geoffrey Owen has been appointed special assistant to Lord Stokes, chairman and managing director of British Leyland.
Mr. Owen will be responsible for investigating and progressing major special projects, and for co-ordinating action where a number of the corporation's divisions are involved.
For the past two years Mr. Owen has been an executive in the Industrial Re-organization Corporation and was previously industrial editor of the Financial Times.
• The head offices of the Dutch road hauliers' association, N.O.B. Wegtransport, have been moved to Hula te Landelaan 492, Rijswijk Netherlands. The technical department of N.O. B. Wegtranspod and the association's professional journal Beroepsvervoer has also moved to these new offices.
• Mr. A. N. Todd, chairman, National Bus Company, is to be the speaker at the informal luncheon of the Institute of Transport on Tuesday. February 4 at the Connaught Rooms, Great Queen Street, London, WC2.
• The annual conference of the Public Transport Association will be held in Brighton on June 3--5 at the Hotel Metropole.
