inanti-nationalization petition were obtained at a protest meeting held in Barnstaple recently, Many petition forms were distributed at the request of people who wished to obtain further signatures.
The principal speakers were Brig. C. Pet°, D.S.O., M.P., Capt. Mark Bonham-Carter and Capt. W. F. Strickland. Brig. Peto made a strong plea for freedom for the C licensee.
Mr. R. Aston, chairman of Barnstaple Sub-area of the Road Haulage Association, presided.
