Secretary, was heard calling into BBC Radio Essex's morning show last week to compete in the station's mystery voice competition.
The competition had stumped other listeners for 10 days, hut Channon had an advantage which became apparent when he identified the speaker. "I have a feeling it's me," he said.
Apparently one of his lesserknown skills is the ability to talk backwards. The tape was part of an interview he gave the radio station three years ago in which he revealed his prowess.
Channon is now the proud owner of a BBC Radio Essex car sticker, mug, key ring and fluffy bug.
