Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

the annual general meeting of the Lorry Driver of the Year competition in November.

A draft of the constitution was on Tuesday referred to the finance and general purposes sub-committee by the national executive committee, meeting in London. The sub-committee has been asked to prepare recommendations for circulation to all centres to allow discussion before the agm.

The constitution, drawn up by the sponsors, Commercial Motor, as a result of the considerable growth of the compettition, would provide safeguards for all those involved in running the event — mainly volunteers — and would introduce formal membership arrangements. It would also give the sponsors financial control,

but all members — including the sponsors — would be specifically debarred from benefitting financially from the competition.

At the executive committee meeting, which discussed the proposals at length, it was explained that Commercial Motor had devoted considerable sums to supporting the competition since it became sponsor; and the committee passed a vote of thanks to CM for its support.

Another aspect of the constitution is that it would give the event a formal title: "The Commercial Motor Lorry Driver of the Year Competition".

At Tuesday's meeting the executive committee accepted three new awards from donors. Mercedes-Benz tankards will go to the eight class runner-ups at the Finals, Mercedes-Benz two-piece driving suits to third-place men, and Drive Publications' AA Book of the British Countryside to those lying fourth.

These awards will not affect a competitor's eligibility for the B I Freightway award.
