Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Although the manoeuvring tests and main activities of the National Finals of the Lorry Driver of the Year competition will be at Bramcote, near Nuneaton, this year as in the past, finalists taking part will report to a new reception point —at Bitteswell aerodrome — when they arrive on Sunday, September 9.

Bitteswell is the Hawker Siddeley airfield at the intersection of AS and the A4114 Lutterworth-Coventry road.

Ted Teer, national clerk of the course, gives two reasons for the new venue — to make the Finals more comprehensive by including a road route; and to ensure an even flow of vehicles from first reporting to the end of the manoeuvring tests, avoiding road congestion around Bramcote and long waits for drivers before going to the test area.

To make the plan run smoothly, drivers are being asked to report in a particular sequence, and details are being sent to drivers.

The Bitteswell reporting point will mean a 7.30 am start for the first group in Classes A, C, E and G. The first group in Classes B, D, F and H will report at 9.30 am.

Groups are made up as follows: Group 1 is all competitors from the eliminating centres, Essex, Fleetwood, Grimsby Guernsey, Hampshire. Group 2 is competi tors from the Isle of Man,. Kent, Leeds. Liverpool, London. Group 3 is those from Londonderry, Manchester, Newcastleunder-Lyme, Newcastle upon Tyne, North Midlands (Leicester). Group 4 is drivers from Norwich, Nottingham, Oxford, ProtStewart, Ruislip. Group 5 St Austell, South Wales, Sussex. Torbay, West of Scotland (Glasgow). Group 6 comprises drivers from Weymouth, Wolverhampton, York, Aberdeen, Belfast. Group 7 those from Birmingham, Bristol, Buckinghamshire, Coventry, Dundee. Group 8 the drivers from Dunfermline and Edinburgh centres.

The complete reporting times are:—
