Snowie Holdings, which earned Vain of government money for its work during the foot and mouth crisis, is the top-performing haulagerelated company in this year's Sunday Times Profit Track 100.

The list ranks Britain's fastest-growing unquoted companies in terns of profit growth over a three-year period; taking 15th place, Snowie's profits leapt from 11.34m in 1998-99 to 18.0210 in 2001-02, with sales of 156.88m. According to the newspaper, the waste manage ment company's clients Include milk, food and beer companies across Britain.

The only logistics company in the list is Chester-based Great Bear Distribution, which has seen profits rise from 11.2m in 1998-99 to /.316rn in 2001-02, putting it 84th in the top 100.

Other companies making it onto the list include Midlands-based Oaf dealer Greerrhous, Municipal Hire Services, and crane hirers Ainscoug,h Crane Hire—which bought Baldwins' mobile crane fleet in December—and Weldex.
