The Motor Vehicles (Driving Licences) (Amendment) (No.3) Regulations 2003, CIF 1 April 2003. These amendment regulations alter the Young LGV Drivers Training Scheme conditions. They now permit a driver to join the scheme with no more than 3 penalty points on their licence and obtain category C+E licence. They also substitute new syllabuses for theory tests for category A, B, C, D and P licences.
The Road Vehicles (Construction & Use) (Amendment) Regulations 2003, 0111 April 2003. These amendment regulations increase the maximum length of buses and turning-circle requirements, in accordance with Council Directive 2002/7.
The Motor Vehicles (Type Approval for Goods Vehicles) (Great Britain) (Amendment) Regulations 2003, CIF 31 March 2003. These amendment regulations allow for recognition of type approval of vehicles and vehicle parts by a competent authority from another EEA State.
The Vehicles Crime (Registration of Registration Plate Suppliers) (England and Wales) (Amendment) Regulations 2003, CIF 1March 2003. These amendment regulations provide for an offence of failing to keep records to be liable for a Level 3 fine.
Motor Vehicles (Driving licences) (Amendment No 2) Regulations 2003, CIF 1 March 2003. These regulations amend existIng rules to allow a disabled person to drive a category 81vehicle unaccompanied which has been adapted to carry only one person, under a provisional licence.
The Road User Charging and Workplace Parking Levy (Not Proceeds) (England) Regulations 2003, CIF 17 February 2003. These regulations make provisions for charging authorities to determine the net proceeds of charging and levy schemes.
The European Communities (Rights against Insurers) Regulations 2002, CIF 19 January 2003. These give effect to Article 3 of the Fourth Directive. They confer to EU residents a new right to issue proceedings against the insurer of a person responsible for an accident in the UK.
The Motor Vehicles (Compulsory Insurance) (Information Centre and Compensation Body) Regulations 2003, CIF 19 January 2003. These regulations give effect to Articles 5,6 and 7 of the 4th Motor Insurance Directive, establishing a UK Information Centre and detailing the information to be kept, The Vehicles Crime (Registration of Number Plate Suppliers) (England and Wales) Regulations 2002, CIF 1 January 2003. Detailed regulations for
registration of number plate suppliers, including the information to be obtained and records to be kept.
The Road Traffic (NHS Charges) Amendment (No. 2) Regulations 2002, CIF 1 January 2003. Increases the charges for the treatment of road traffic casualties in two stages—first a 24% increase from 1January and a further 2% after lApril.
The Road User charging (Enforcement of Charging Scheme Penalty Charges) (England and Wales) Regulations 2002, CIF 1 January 2003. Provide that road-user charging scheme penalty charges shall be recoverable as if they were payable under a county court order.
The Functions of Traffic Wardens (Amendment) Order 2002, CIF 2 December 2002. Allows traffic wardens to stop moving vehicles for testing and escorting abnormal loads. Removes prohibition of traffic wardens directing traffic from a moving vehicle.
The Goods Vehicles (Licensing of Operators) (Fees) (Amendment) II ulations 2002, CIF 1 December 2002. Increases 0lIcence fees by 5%.
The Road Vehicles (Registration and Licensing) Regulations 2002, CIF 30 November 2002. Revoke and consolidate, with amendments, the 1971 (GB) and 1973 (Northern Ireland) regulations to provide one set of UK-wide regulations.
The Vehicles (Crime) Act 2001 (Commencement No.5) Order 2002, CIF 29 November 2002. Brings into force Part 2 of the Vehicles (Crime) Act, which sets up a system for registering number plate suppliers in England and Wales.
The Road Vehicles (Display of Registration Marks) (Amendment) Regulations 2002, CIF 22 November 2002.
Amends regulations to prohibit the use of a number plate with a patterned or textured background, and makes special provisions for certain imported vehicles which govern the size and spacing of plate's characters.
