• A new freight groupage service, carrying European cargoes between London International Freight Terminal, Manchester Containerbase, and Zeebrugge, has recently been started by Alltransport. The service is operated in conjunction with Louis Ghemar, the Brussels freight agent, and will use Ghemar's new quayside warehouse at Zeebrugge.
Standard 2 Oft containers will be despatched from LIFT and 40ft units from -Manchester on Fridays and Wednesdays respectively. Distribution from Zeebrugge can be carried out by Ghemar's own vehicles to distribution points at Brussels and Antwerp. Customers collecting their own consignments from the warehouse will be able to do so within 24 hours of their arrival at Zeebrugge.
