THE large bulk liquid hauliers of Heckmond' wike, Yorks., Harold Wood and Sons Ltd., have appointed a safety and training officer. He is Mr. D. G. Bolton, formerly commercial vehicle instructor with the British Motor Corporation.
The company's intention is to educate existing and new personnel in all aspects of road and industrial safety, but with particular emphasis on the safe handling of the many hazardous liquids carried by. the firm's tankers. A syllabus for continuous courses has been devised.
Financial control of the company was secured last year by the THC.
