ALIQUID coating system for rust proofing iron and steel offered by Metalife Liquid Metals, Ltd., Harrogate, Yorks, permits 2.1 oz. of anodic metals to be deposited on each square foot of the base metal in two brushed coats. This is said to be equivalent to good quality galvanising. It is known as the Metalife Duplex system and comprises two constituents (a base and a solidifier) which are mixed before application to Form a non-toxic compound which will withstand temperatures from —65°F. to 400°F. dry heat.

The coating can be applied to damp surfaces and dries in about six hours. Coverage is approximately 1,400 sq. ft. per cwt. of material. The compound is not subject to serious settlement in the can and is said not to drip or run when applied.
