AN ergonomics conference is to be organized by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research in London on September 27. It will last for three days. Ergonomics is the word given to the application of science to the problem of fitting the job to the worker. The aim is ' to improve industrial efficiency by designing equipment so that its operation is within the mental and physical capacities of the average person.
