Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Actros took gold in 1997 and has to be the front runner to repeat that victory seven years on.The original Actros, though technically impressive, was plagued with electrical and reliability problems, and it never quite satisfied the needs of drivers.Too much, too soon, was the verdict of many at the time.

In fairness to Mere the German truck builder has taken all this on-board and hit the market earlier this year with a much improved product. Clearly learning much from its initial experience.the New Actros has a massively enhanced package for the driver, better in-cab quality and, if the experience of Oliver Dixon on his run to Afghanistan is anything to go by (see page 62), improved reliability.

Initial reports from operators of the first New Actros in the country also reveal better fuel efficiency, particularly from the new 460hp version of the V6 engine. The New Actros has to be hot favourite.
