Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

HIGH-TECH MOTORWAY signs which use pictures as well as words to indicate road conditions are on trial on the M4.

The signs show images of road conditions such as high winds or snow, as well as indicating accidents, speed limits and lane closures. Transport Minister Kim Howells switched on the first batch — between Junctions 12 and 14 —last week.

The signs are designed to help motorists to understand road conditions at a glance, particularly for foreign motorists.
