Jost's latest Flashtronic is its cheapest forr safe-coupling system yet.
Derived from the existing KKS fully automatic coupling system. the new system is designed for on-line-fitted JSK 42 fixed fifti wheels with a specified type of handle.
The electro-magnetic sensor unit bolts to the coupler plate over the release lever LED lights in the cab flash to tell the driver whether the fifth-wheel mechanism is loci around the trailer kingpin.
Flashtronic is available for around £10( this is a far cry from the Z3,000-plus KKS with its in-cab control, three sensors and pneumatic remote control which activate: the fifth wheel and landing legs.
However, a simplified SKS version withc any landing gear function comes in at E1,C
