• Volvo Bus (UK) is to cease building right-hand-drive bus chassis at the Volvo truck assembly plant at Irvine in Scotland. The Irvine factory has produced double-deck bus chassis since 1974.
Although the current midengined Citybus, based on the BlOM coach chassis, has been produced at Irvine for the past four years, it has been decided to transfer right-hand-drive PSV chassis production back to Sweden for the time being.
