Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Esterglass Ltd„ which specia.. lizes in making high-clarity glassreinforced polyester sheet, has developed a process, known as Encap, for encapsulating paper and other materials so that such items become an integral part of

a polyester sheet. The process has been applied to the encapsulation of MoT plates. Each i.in.-thick sheet used in the

process has an overall light transmission efficiency of 90 per cent, resulting from careful matching of the refractive indices of the glass filaments and resin during manufacture. All an operator has to do is post his MoT plates (by recorded de livery) to the company's Bedford works and they will be encapsulated and returned (again, by recorded delivery) within 48 hours of receipt.

An Encap plate is unconditionally guaranteed for five years. It is virtually unbreakable, resistant to a wide range of temperatures, and unaffected by water, mud, salt, oil, fuel or grime.

It is easily cleaned with a dry or damp cloth and will withstand any high-pressure steam or water cleaning process to which the vehicle may be subjected. A Sufficient margin is provided around the plate to permit the drilling of holes for its attachment by bolts or self-tapping screws.

The first operator to fit Encap MoT plates is Kilby and Davison Ltd., a Bedford haulage and warehousing concern running a fleet of some 140 vehicles, Made by: Esterglass Ltd., St. John's Works, Bedford.
