• "Transport in the Southern African economy" is the theme of the Institute of Transport's second overseas lecture, to be delivered by Mr. W. E. Purvis, finance manager, South African Railways, at the Commonwealth Hall, 16-20 Craven St., London, WC2, at 5.45 p.m. next Monday. Visitors will be welcome without ticket. Mr. Purvis is chairman of the Institute's Southern Africa division.
