Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• The Dynair thermostatic fan-drive system is now offered on Bedford diesel engines as an option. With this equipment there is an air-operated clutch in the fandrive hub. It is connected to a temperaturesensing control valve in the water system and in the Bedford application the fan is brought into operation when the coolant temperature reaches 200deg F (93deg C).

Advantages reported by Bedford engineers after tests include an improvement in fuel consumption, reduction of cab interior noise and quicker warm-up giving extended engine life.

Make-up of complete conversion kits varies according to chassis, but it will normally cost between £30 lOs and £33 10s.
