ASKED by Mr. Champion whether he would prevent operators from abolishing workmen's fares and restore them where they have been increased, the Minister of Transport declared in the House of Commons, this week, that he was satisfied with the licensing system.

He stated that the decisions of the Licensing Authorities were taken after public hearings and appeals could be made against decisions. "1 have no present intention of asking Parliament to modify these provisions," he said.
