Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

Driver training and availability is a major issue for operators in the UK, simply because there are so few drawbars in operation. There is a limited pool of trained or experienced drawbar drivers in the UK, as most operators will testify. And the likelihood of getting an agency driver with drawbar experience is even more remote. One operator recalls ruefully: "I watched the truck turn tight out of the yard while the trailer carried on into the fence. The [agency] driver had never coupled a drawbar before taking my rig out..."

Staff, including warehouse employees and drivers, will need additional training. The successful introduction of drawbar demount boxes requires the understanding and support of drivers and loading staff.
