The district manager of Royal Mail Parcels West Midlands, Seamus Taggart, says more "super" hubs, such as the new £10 million distribution centre planned for Birmingham, will be part of the streamlining process. Royal Mail division Datapost EMS has added six countries to its international network, bringing the total to 122.

It now delivers parcels and documents to Benin, Gabon and Guinea in West Africa; Somalia in East Africa; Bolivia in South America, and St Lucia in the West Indies. Packages up to 20kg can be carried on all the new routes.
