Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Lowfield Distribution has won its third post-buyout distribution deal, with Asda.

The food chain's regional distribution centre at Portbury near Bristol will be run by Lowfield from its opening at the beginning of June.

Vehicles for the operation will be supplied to Asda by Transfleet, which says the multi-million deal for all Asda's vehicle requirements is its largest to date. The fleet at Portbury will comprise ERF, MAN and Scania tractors.

Lowfield already has distribution and storage contracts with Sainsbury, Waitrose, HP Foods and Beecham. It was bought out from Hanson by a management team, led by managing director John Toyne, last December. The company has a turnover of £30 million and employs 1,300 staff at 14 depots.

Lowfield Distribution is evaluating Don-Bur and Bedwas curtain-sided distribution bodies. Transport manager Roy Bradley says: "We find the sliding curtain is very convenient for distribution because it allows easier loading and unloading, though it is a little less secure."

The two test bodies are fitted to Leyland Daf Freighters.
