Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

RIBBLE general manager Ian Chapman has hit out at statements made about his company's safety record by a local MP.

Speaking to employees at a long-service award presentation, Mr Chapman refuted statements made by Lancaster MP Elaine Kellett-Bowman in the House of Commons debate on the Transport Bill.

According to Mr Chapman, she criticised Ribble services and went on to imply that 40 per cent of the company's buses and coaches failed their annual inspection.

He described this figure as nonsense. Last year's failure rate for Ribble vehicles was only 3.3 per cent.

He asked for all members of his staff to remember this and do what they could to undo any damage caused by such inaccurate statements.
