'TOTAL profit of the Transport I Development Group, Ltd., has almost doubled from £1.3m. in 1960 to £2.5m. in 1961. A dividend of 121 per cent. is announced and a one-for-four scrip issue proposed. Despite curtailment of demand following the credit squeeze in the second half of the year, the amount of tonnage carried continues to be at a satisfactory level.
Revaluation has resulted in an increase of £1.2m. to £5.9m. in the book value of freehold and leasehold properties.
