articulated vehicle set off from Great Ormond Street Hosptial on an epic 5,600km journey that will take them around the coast of Britain and into the record books.
Former driving instructor John Folland and his navigator Russell Dowle, both from Chatham and full-time professional drivers, departed from Great Ormond Street at midday after Eddie "the Eagle" Edwards presented a cheque to the hospital for money raised at Truckfest '88 in May.
Also at the hospital and leading the way out of London at the start of the Owner Operators UK sponsored event, was Geoff Byfords' monstrous "Lady Louise" Western Star which has already raised more than 23,500 for the Great Ormond Street appeal from the sale of posters.
