Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

NOTHING succeeds like success our recovery conference is the latest proof we have. This year's event at SEM E Bordon was even better than the 1977 event in every possible way.

Last year we formed the Association of Vehicle Recovery Operators. This year we launched a vehicle recovery competition. So what of next year? You'll have to look elsewhere for the answer to that.

Before this year's event we had made it known that it would be, for the moment, our last promotional activity in the recovery field. After all, AVRO is growing up and must not have its growth stunted by commercial interests. We wish it well and will continue to report its activities.

But. let there be no panic in the hearts of recovery men; there should be no shortage of volunteer sponsors. After all, they're picking up a successful event.

Indeed, no sooner had the word been "leaked" of our intention to let AVRO do their own thing than a potential sponsor was inviting us publicly to withdraw from the scene. W. C. Jackson, of Wreckers International, called on us to withdraw but, all credit to him, he volunteered to fill the gap.

I'm sure AVRO will have many more offers, but "a bird in the hand . . ." After all, these non-profit making ventures usually cost the sponsors money.
