NEW commercial ferry sere has been launched beten Shoreham and Dieppe. A ily service will be operated the Paris-based company Lades Schiaffino et Cie using 5,000-ton vessel Shiaffino. Ile ship has a capacity of 25 -metre trailers and either 10 ntainers or 50 cars. There is ommodation for 12 drivers. Me service will initially acialise in unaccompanied Ilers and operate from the irington Basin. ro complement the new vice the eastern quay has en resurfaced to create a w trailer park and tnoeuvring area. The north d east quays are now unded by a high security ice and tower lighting has mt. installed.
