Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A DO-IT-YOURSELF demountable system has been launched by the Clarke Translift Group.

Called the Transpack, the system comes in kit form and has been designed to cope with cargoes up to 10 tons. It comes in two parts: lifting units which can be installed directly on top of any conventional chassis; and matching leg units for fitting to the customer's own body systems.

Clarke claims that the system can be fitted to an average chassis in 15 hours or less. The fact that fleet operators can use their own shops for on the spot supervision of installation and that commercial operators will be saved travelling around the country for new vehicles are big pluses for Transpack, says Clarke.

Leg units work out at £525 a pair and lifting units are £934 for the hydraulic version and £560 for pneumatic.

Units are available from stock, and Clarke Translift is looking for UK and European distributors.
