LLIVERPOOL Corporation passenger transport committee has recommended the purchase of a further 130 Leyland Atlantean double-decker bus chassis at a total cost of £403,585, and the purchase of 130 MCW bodies at a total cost of £577,850.

Meanwhile, Oldham Corporation Transport has increased its order for Atlanteans to a total of 30 chassis, five of which will be fitted with 77-seat bodies by East Lancashire Coachbuilders Ltd.
