DOVER HARBOUR handled almost half a million commercial road haulage units in the first 11 months of last year.
For the 11 months to November 1981, 469,170 units passed through Dover, an increase of 4.74 per cent on the same period in 1980.
Other ro-ro freight amounted to 85,287 units for the JanuaryNovember period, a rise of 33.74 per cent over the same period in 1980.
November 1981 also proved very successful in itself, with commercial road haulage units up from 40,000 to 51,582, an increase of 27.71 per cent over November 1980. Other ro-ro freight showed a massive jump • for the same month to 7,991, a rise of 76.67 per cent on November of the previous year.
