West and Sellick have opened a commercial vehicle tyre fitting centre at Grimston Road, St Albans. The company, besides fitting tyres has the equipment to balance truck wheels on or off the vehicle.
For light vans balancing a wheel in situ costs 75p, off the vehicle 50p. Wheel tracking is £1.20. For large vehicles — generally those fitted with 16in. diameter and above wheels — balancing on the truck costs £1 .50, off the truck £1.70 per wheel; weights are 2p per 5 gram extra.
