BEDFORD-BASEDAER Inskip has gone into liquidation following the loss of three major contracts.

BDO Stoy Haward and Berg Kaprow Lewis were appointed as liquidators on 1 December following a creditors' meeting.

The 82-year-old firm ran a fleet of vehicles ranging from vans to artics and was a member of The Pallet Network (TPN). The directors of Inskip,Tunothy and Marie Hobbs, are also listed as the directors of Bedfordshire Freight Services, which now runs the firm. from Berg Kaprow says: "We had the assets valued and the directors of Bedfordshire Freight Services made us an offer for them, which has now been accepted. The firm has been trading for many years." Alison Wilson TPN MD Adam Leonard says Bedfordshire Freight Services is now delivering on behalf of the network in a reduced area and on a provisional basis: "These things do happen to our members. If they get into financial difficulties we try to help them as best as we can."

Inskip declined to comment.

• Manchester-based RGP International Freight has also gone into administration. Begbies Tray or was appointed as administrator on 8 December; the firm declined to comrnent.
