Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE Traders Road Transport Association

this week warned goods vehicle operators to check the braking performance of their vehicles —urgently--to make sure they could obtain the efficiencies required by law from January 1 1968.

Operators may be unable to get parts at the last minute, and if they use unconverted vehicles after the legal date they will leave themselves open to heavy fines.

The TRTA emphasizes that requirements for existing vehicles concern efficiencies only and not the mode of operation. Operators in doubt or difficulty over the regulations are invited to contact the TRTA for advice.
