Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

THE Ministerof Transport this week published his proposals, first announced last month, to increase the size of public service vehicles. He has asked for comments by January 31 next.

Main alterations to the existing Construction and Use Regulations would be to increase the maximum box dimensions from 30 ft. by 8 ft. to 36 ft. by 8 ft. 2+ in. There is no intention to alter the present conditions governing turning circles.

This would ensure, said the Minister, that buses of the proposed dimensions were no less manceuvrable than those of the present maximum dimensions.

There would be no change in maximum weights.

Lawrenson attributed his difficulties to employees stealing consignments from his vehicles. The examination was adjourned for further inquiries to be made.
