Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

• Omni European Van Line, the consortium of 24 removals firms, has folded due to lack of cohesion between members.

The group was formed about a year ago to give its members a central pool of traffic for hackloads and protection against international van lines. (CM 5-11 October 1989).

But it was disbanded last month after members began to break away with their own national concepts and affiliations of how a van line should be run, says a representative. He adds members lacked a common understanding of the market.

The three-year-old group Omni International is still operating with its 350 members. And a US group, Atlas Van Lines of Evansville in Indiana, is being set up in Europe.
