relieve congestion on the A31 road at Winchester, should be completed by next April.
Traffic on the A31 road from Alton and Petersfield to Romsey and the New Forest will travel up the High Street, whilst in the other direction, including A34 traffic from Southampton and Portsmouth, vehicles will be diverted along a parallel road, to join the A31 road again at the other end of the city. The improvements will cost £175,000.
