Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

EDINBURGH holidaymakers are to be offered a new range of nine and 10-day coach tours to English resorts following a substantial increase in the popularity of this kind of holiday.

The Traffic Commissioners at Edinburgh agreed to allow Wallace Arnold Tours Ltd., Leeds, to operate tours from Edinburgh to Clacton-on-Sea, Tenby, Great Yarmouth and Ilfracombe.

Scottish Omnibuses Ltd successfully applied to run tours from Edinburgh to Eastbourne, Bournemouth and Llandudno —the latter tour for seven or eight days.

An objection to the Wallace Arnold application was withdrawn by Scottish Omnibuses. And Wallace Arnold withdrew an objection it had lodged against the Scotbus bid.

The Commissioners also agreed to new tours from Dundee and Glasgow by Wallace Arnold and from Glasgow by W. Alexander and Sons (Midland) Ltd., after objections to these were withdrawn.

Mr. J. B. T. Loudon, for the Scottish Bus Group, said it had been found possible to offer the public the tours without conflict.

Mr. William King, licensing officer for Wallace Arnold, said that demand from Scotland was four times greater than in 1964. People in Edinburgh had many times requested picking-up facilities in the capital. It was annoying that tours had to begin in Glasgow.
