Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

A B-LICENCE application by Linham and Sons Ltd., Mere, Somerset, was adjourned by Western LA Mr. J. R. C. Samuel-Gibbon last week so the company could produce figures on its Contract Aand B-licensed vehicles and also a customer analysis.

Mr. Trevor Linham, a director, said the company had been in business since 1928. It was primarily concerned with the manufacture of concrete blocks on a large scale. It had four vehicles on B-licence and two on Contract A with Batscombe Quarry, Cheddar, Somerset. The additional vehicle would be used for quarry work at Batscombe and for other quarries in the area.

Mr. Richard Beard, sales manager of Westbury Quarries, Westbury-sub-Mendip, Somerset which employs 26 vehicles on Contract A licences, supported the application.

Mr. T. D. Corpe, appearing for four objectors, said a fatal defect in the case was the non-availability of figures. He saw no objection to an adjournment.
