Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

by Bryan Jarvis • Cleansing Services Group has added six new Mercedes-Benz Unimog ECO-Waste Shuttles to its 170-strong fleet.

Each on/off-road artic comprises a 237hp (177kW) Unimog U2450 4x4 matched to a Gull tipping semi-trailer. The 220 bar hydraulic rams are controlled from the cab.

CSG is under contract to UK and St Regis Paper Companies to haul 600 tonnes of organic paper sludge bioproduct to farm land 363 days a year. The Shuttles will carry 19tonne loads to field sites.

According to CSG's agronomist Leon Mekitarian, the versatile allweather Unimog rigs will make fewer journeys than standard 8x4 tippers, at a more sensible unit cost per tonne.

1: South Wales Electricity has replaced its ageing fleet of Ford Transit 4x4s with four Unimog U100Ls equipped with hydraulic lift access platforms, and one U1650 with a heavyduty crane. Midlands Electricity Board has also taken a U1001., with an access platform.
