• Joloda, the Liverpool-based truck loading system and material handling equipment manufacturer, went into receivership last Thursday. Manchesterbased receiver Leonard Curtis is looking for a buyer for the 25-year-old business, which is still trading from one of its two Liverpool sites with a skeleton staff of 10. Forty employees have been made redundant.
Philip Duffy, who was appointed to sell the business, says its main selling point is that it has registered trade mark approval. Joloda called in the receiver after failing to meet its debts, and is expected to lose £33,000 this year.
