• Townsend Thoresen has recruited Rudi Metz, 54, to fill the new post of general manager, group freight sales. He has more than 35 years experience in freight forwarding, notably with Schenkers of London.
Metz will be based at the Tonbridge, Kent head office of Townsend Thoresen's parent company. European Ferries.
