Uniroyal's Power Transmission Company has been bought by Gates Rubber, largest subsidiary of the Gates Corporation of Denver, worldwide producer of automotive and industrial belts, hoses and hydraulic hoses.
Uniroyal's Power Transmission Company primarily manufactures and distributes timing belts. Plants are located at Moncks Corner, South Carolina; Dumfries, Scotland; Aachen, West Germany; Rio Claro, Brazil; Queretaro, Mexico and in a joint venture with Nitta Industries of Nara, Japan.
