Which of the following most accurately describes the problem?

By Brian Weatherte' A FACE-LIP I BD front end, an interior makeover and a standard six-speed auto gearbox on all right-hand-drive chassis are just some a the attractions of the latest lveco Eurocargo, which will be officially launched in the UK in September.

Although the new RHD Eurocargos will retain the same 160-300hp four and six-cylinder common rail Tector engines from the previous model range, Iveco is hoping its latest middleweight is sufficiently changed to retain its claimed position as -the bestselling medium truck in Europe.

Its restyled cab front draws heavily on the exterior design of its big-brother Stralis, with a deeper front panel above the grille for easier signwriting, a new front bumper, revised mirrors and different mouldings along the bottom of the doors.

UK operators will be able to spec either a day, sleeper or crew cab. The right-hand-drive range is expected to include 7.5, 8, 10. 12, 14, 16 and 18-tonne 4x2 models, all equipped with Euro-5 SCR engines. An urban artic, based on either a 14 or 16-tonne rigid chassis, could also be developed in the future along with a 6x2 rigid "if the market demands it-.

New Eurocargo models up to 10 tonnes gain bigger discs and pads, while ESP, ASR and a Hill Hold brake function will also be optional. The adoption of the six-speed ZF Eurotronic (left) two-pedal automated gearbox as standard on all right-hand-drive Eurocargos is in contrast to the rest of Europe where manual boxes remain standard fare. Iveco says the new model will command a price premium of between 3-5% but adds: "The UK market premium is likely to be higher than 5% because of the standard auto offering."

A full range report and driving impressions on the new model will appear in next week's CM.
